BGNB Productions &
Arts Outreach
With a wealth of knowledge in nonprofit organization management spanning over 15 years, Rebekah works to embrace both the sciences and the arts through her community outreach/engagement work in underserved communities worldwide. After the passing of her mother in 2008, Rebekah started the MaMa Africa Program in 2010 in memory of her late mother to help expectant mothers in need in various countries in Africa as well as to help create a dialogue around reforming maternal healthcare worldwide. Rebekah created as an online digital magazine called YAV Magazine to celebrate young African visionaries across the globe. YAV Magazine published seven issues with readership and downloads reaching thousands of readers monthly and is now being turned into a scholarship fund. In December 2014, Rebekah self-published her first book "My Relation to the Sun", a collection of original poetry and photography and in 2020 she published her first children's book "Solomon's Train The Journey Home". Rebekah has also worked as a freelance music/arts writer for Africology Media and Rebekah co-wrote "Illuminate Ghana" with the art based non-profit Beauty for Freedom and select children who had been rescued from human trafficking in the fishing industry in Winneba, Ghana. Her latest project is CR8:BLK, which is an art based non-profit celebrating contemporary Black/African women artists.
